Hey folks, I personally want to thank you for stopping by my new official website. This is the place where you can find out what’s going on with me, the gear I use, how to get hooked up with me for lessons or sessions, merchandise, and a whole lot more! This website has not been updated for the last five years and I had to get things up and running again. I want to personally thank my dear brother, Mike Briggs, for helping me get active online again with this brand new site. My former web designer, Chris McLaughlin, passed away suddenly in 2021 and it has taken me a long time to find the right person to help me get going again. I am truly grateful for you, Mike. Thank you buddy! As most of you know, Kimmie and I moved to Chatham Virginia in December of 2018. Nashville grew exponentially and the crime rate escalated. Plus, country music had changed considerably as well. It was time for us to be around family and for a new chapter in our lives to begin. In 2025, Kimmie and I just celebrated 20 years of marriage and I feel truly blessed to have the best wife in the world! Since then, I now run Camp Hiland Studio thanks to my dear brother Kenny Thurman. We have partnered in this studio venture and offer full band tracking for artists and singer/ songwriters all over the world. I also do product video demos in my studio as well. Plus, I have always continued to teach guitar. I really do not tour anymore, but I occasionally get out for a clinic every now and then. Plus, I will always continue to create guitar music. My latest album, Chatham Sessions Volume 2, is available where all music is sold online. This has been a true journey for me. I find that after writing the initial book, I have grown a bit more wise in how I think about things that have happened in my life and I feel that I have become a better man and Christian through it all! My autobiography is now going through some major changes, but I’m in hopes that things will move along better for me now. I sincerely want to thank my dear brother, Eric Dahl, for his continued support and patience with me. Putting your entire life on paper has become more of an endeavor than I ever imagined. It is a challenge, but I’m hoping that it will get done and released one day. I sincerely want to extend my thanks to everyone for all of your continued support and for being the best friends/fans in the entire world! I love you all so much! In 2023, Johnny was inducted into the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame! He is completely honored by this and feels it is so amazing to be recognized by his home state for his talent and career.
